The Linehaul Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating regional linehaul transportation across our East Coast and Southeast warehouse network. This role manages carrier communication, dispatch planning, shipment tracking, and documentation accuracy to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and smooth linehaul operations1. Daily Dispatch & RoutingPlan and dispatch daily linehaul schedules for NJ/Savannah warehouse operations.Monitor real-time shipment movement and resolve delays, reroutes, and exceptions.Coordinate loading/unloading times and priorities with local warehouse teams.2. Carrier CoordinationCommunicate with carriers for booking, pickup confirmation, and cost review.Follow up on PODs, BOLs, shortages/damages, and accessorial charges (detention, layover, etc.).3. Cost & Route OptimizationConsolidate freight to improve trailer utilization and reduce empty miles.Track lane rates and fuel surcharges; support lane-level cost analysis.4. Documentation & ComplianceEnsure accuracy of BOLs, manifests, dispatch notes, and tracking updates.Maintain carrier documentation (W9, COI) and support basic DOT compliance.5. Communication & CoordinationProvide timely shipment updates to customer service, sales, and warehouse teams.Serve as the primary contact for drivers and carriers during linehaul movements.QualificationsRequired1–3 years of experience in dispatching, linehaul, LTL/FTL, or logistics operations.Knowledge of U.S. transportation routes and standard freight documents (BOL, POD).Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and transportation management systems (TMS).PreferredExperience in e-commerce logistics or 3PL operations.Familiarity with regional carrier networks and basic rate structures.Bilingual English/Chinese is a plus.
