Summary Flatiron Merchants Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Last Mile dispatcer to manage daily dispatch operations and lead process and system improvements across our delivery network. This role blends hands-on logistics coordination with strategic responsibilities, including cost analysis, system optimization, and performance tracking.The ideal candidate has experience in dispatch and logistics, a data-informed mindset, and the ability to identify and implement scalable improvements using tools like DMS, OMS, and route optimization software. Key Responsibilities: Dispatch & Delivery Coordination-Manage last mile delivery dispatch operations, assigning drivers to routes based on schedule, traffic, volume, and customer needs.-Monitor real-time delivery activity and respond promptly to delays, routing issues, or customer concerns.-Ensure accurate execution of delivery plans with a focus on timeliness and service quality.-Provide DSPs with complete route instructions, tools, and support for efficient delivery execution.Process Optimization-Continuously evaluate and improve dispatch and delivery workflows to increase accuracy, reduce errors, and improve service levels.-Standardize procedures and implement best practices for route management, communication, and driver handoffs.-Work across departments (warehouse, customer service, oversea teams) to identify bottlenecks and streamline last mile operations.System Optimization-Oversee the use and integration of the Delivery Management System (DMS), Order Management System (OMS), and routing software tools.-Recommend and implement system improvements to reduce manual processes, enhance route and tracking accuracy, and improve visibility across internal teams.-Collaborate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, manage feature rollouts, and support user training.-Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for automation, real-time tracking enhancements, and workflow optimization.Customer & Driver Support-Communicate with customers as needed to update delivery status, resolve issues, and provide support with professionalism and empathy.-Act as a main point of contact for DSPs during active routes, ensuring they have the resources and guidance they need to perform effectively.Compliance & Documentation-Ensure all deliveries comply with company policy, safety standards, and legal regulations.-Generate and present daily/weekly reports on delivery performance, exceptions. Qualifications-2 years of experience in last mile logistics, dispatch coordination, or delivery operations.-Hands-on experience with DMS, OMS, and route optimization platforms (e.g., Onfleet, Route4Me, OptimoRoute).-Strong ability to analyze delivery workflows and implement operational improvements.-Experience conducting cost or performance analysis using spreadsheets or logistics tools.-Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.-Ability to think critically, stay organized under pressure, and solve problems in real time.-Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
