Bookkeeper

Wozniak Builders is a third-generation general contracting company based in Dade City, Florida, specializing in custom homes and commercial construction. We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in managing the financial health of our business and supporting our mission of delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship across every project.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile all company accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments accurately and on schedule
• Prepare and track job cost reports to support project managers and ownership
• Record payroll entries and assist with employee reimbursements and benefits tracking
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow summaries
• Support the preparation of documentation for accountants during tax season
• Maintain organized financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Provide financial insights to help guide operational decisions and profitability goals

Qualifications

• 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
• Proficient with Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with job cost accounting, progress billing, and project budgets
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial recordkeeping
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
