Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of hearing and balance functions using advanced audiological equipment and techniques
- Provide tailored hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and follow-up care to optimize patient outcomes
- Collaborate with otolaryngologists (ear, nose, and throat specialists) to develop effective treatment plans for complex cases
- Educate patients and their families on hearing health, device usage, and maintenance to ensure ongoing support
- Maintain detailed patient records utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills by managing appointment schedules and follow-up procedures efficiently
- Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all clinical procedures to ensure patient safety
- Engage in customer service by addressing patient concerns with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication skills
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote awareness about hearing health and available services
- Contribute to sales efforts by recommending appropriate audiological devices and accessories based on individual needs
Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program; Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) preferred
- Valid licensure or certification as required by local regulatory bodies for practicing audiologists
- Proven experience in pediatric audiology is highly desirable, with familiarity in handling diverse age groups
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy related to the auditory system, and otolaryngology principles
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques using modern audiological equipment and software tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients of all ages
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and other computer applications necessary for record-keeping and reporting
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple patient appointments simultaneously
