Position: Shipping & Receiving Operator Level: Shop Associate 2
Summary: TheShipping & Receiving Operator manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies for Woven Metal Products/IndChem Constructors. In this role, the Shipping & Receiving Operator packages product for outgoing shipments, distributes and inventories incoming shipments, and manages all shipping & receiving paperwork.
Primary Roles: Outbound Shipment Preparation, Shipment Receipt
Reports To: VP Production
Supervises: Driver(s)
Travel: None
Typical Week: Minimum 40 hours, seasonally increases up to 80 hours a week with many weeks averaging 45-50 hours
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Outbound Shipment Preparation Oversight, Inbound Shipment Receipt Oversight and Warehouse Inventory Oversight
· Follow all shipping/receiving procedures, take photos of crating/packaging and upload to job file and more
· Package products for shipment including creating custom crates for size and labeling crates and packages per packing procedures
· Operate forklift
· Load and unload trucks and trailers
· If shipment is hauled by Woven, communicate load details provided by Logistics Coordinator, with driver
· Contact shipping companies, issue purchase orders, and dispatch trucks as required, in the absence of the Logistics Coordinator
· Secure loads in box trailers or containers using inflatable dunnage or other methods Receive shipments and packages, distribute as required
· Maintain work area cleanliness
· Keep equipment in excellent working condition and follow all clean-up routines
· Properly track job task through the shop using the job traveler system
· Arrive at work on-time and consistently clock in and out
· Observe safety procedures at all times
· Utilize appropriate amount of materials and supplies, maintaining awareness of scrap and working to minimize when possible
· Execute any and all tasks assigned by supervisor
· Uphold leadership values of integrity, excellence, innovation and collaboration, displaying respect and a positive attitude in all interactions with the team, vendors, and customers
· This position may require availability outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, to support emergency or time‑critical shipments
on call requests
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Able to lift 50 lbs
· Computer literate with ability to write professional emails
· Ability to use forklift
· Ability to use power tools
· Knowledge of shipping terms and loading dock safety
· Ability to stand and be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
· Effective communication skills including giving and taking instruction, and active listening

Pay: $51,480.00 - $72,800.00 per year
