Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift with no weekends, no holidays. Typically works 8 hours - 4 days per week, and 4 hours - 1day per week to a total of 36 hours per week
Location: Grosse Pointe Pierson located at 131 Kercheval Ave. Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236. However, this site is currently being renovated and is slated to open fall of this year 2026. While the clinic is being renovated, the doctors and staff see patients out of the East Jefferson Clinic (Mondays), and the Hamtramck Clinic (Tuesday - Friday).
GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Preferences: Experience with OR, Podiatry, Wound, or ER experience as this clinic is a high acuity clinic and does minor procedures, debridement, sterile dressing changes, etc. preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
