The Medical Tech/Wound Tech is responsible for, but not limited to, taking and recording patient vitals, drawing blood and other samples, assisting the physician during exams and treatment, keeping patient charts updated, coordinating patient care, and arranging for labs, tests, and treatment needed during examinations.

Responsibilities

Adhere to HIPAA and company policies and procedures

Ability to accurately document all information promptly regarding patients and their treatment

Assist the on-duty provider with administering the highest standard of care possible

Inform the provider/RN promptly regarding the change in a patient’s health or well-being
-
Provide education and training to the patient/patient's family
-
Uphold any required certifications or training to properly use all clinical equipment

Accurately and timely complete all patient records and documentation
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED with a current MA certification
-
CPR and BLS certification by the American Heart Association

One year of previous physician or hospital experience

Strong communication skills
Exceptional time management skills -
Work efficiently

Quick response time

Knowledge of medical supplies, order procedures, inventory, and clerical skills is helpful
Work Location and Schedule Expectation:
- Assigned facility
- No remote scheduling available
- Hourly schedule as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time and sit intermittently. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific hearing and vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment is primarily a clinical office setting.
