Position Summary
This role is in charge of the following - cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils as necessary in a very timely manner. Also, may assist in preparing food, oversee and provide trash removal, bussing tables, and cleaning the dining area.
Major Responsibilities/ Daily Essential Functions
- Cleans and sanitizes pots, dishes, and utensils in a timely fashion.
- Maintain and operate in a safe working environment.
- Maintains dish stations, keeping them clean and free of debris and storing all items in their proper place.
- Maintains kitchen floor, keeping it clean and dry.
- Cleans kitchen walls, equipment, and other areas, as assigned.
- Can handle fast-paced, potentially high-pressure environment.
- Complete any reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
- Assists in food preparation as requested by the kitchen manager during busy periods.
- May aid with lifting and storage of food.
- License/Certifications: Willing to obtain Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
- Physical Capabilities: Lifting 50 pounds and long periods of standing
Qualifications
- Food Handler Certification
- Dishwashing experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in bussing tables
- Familiarity with food preparation
- Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently
