Position Summary
The Engagement Manager is responsible for building meaningful relationships with volunteers, donors, ambassadors, businesses, and community organizations to advance Worthwhile’s mission. This role coordinates volunteer engagement, speaking engagements, donor outreach, and community partnerships while increasing awareness and support for organizational programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors through personalized engagement, stewardship, and ongoing communication.
- Plan and coordinate donor appreciation events, fundraising activities, and community engagement initiatives.
- Develop and execute fundraising campaigns that increase donor acquisition, retention, recurring giving, and major gift support.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward prospective donors through networking, outreach, research, and strategic partnerships.
- Engage businesses, corporations, and community organizations to expand awareness, participation, and financial support.
- Analyze donor data, giving trends, and fundraising performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and improve donor engagement.
- Utilize donor management tools and fundraising technologies to enhance communication, relationship management, and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support organizational events, community awareness efforts, and fundraising objectives.
- Monitor donor engagement and giving patterns to develop strategies that increase long-term support and overall fundraising revenue.
- Prepare reports and recommendations based on donor insights, fundraising outcomes, and performance trends.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, nonprofit work, customer relations, fundraising, or event planning preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Experience with event planning, volunteer coordination, and community outreach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/volunteer management software preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
- Ability to work flexible hours and attend local community events as needed.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and communicate for extended periods as needed.
- Travel is required for community meetings, outreach events, volunteer activities, and speaking engagements.
