Steel Processing Associate – 3rd Shift (Worthington Steel, Rome NY)

What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor production machinery
- Load/unload materials and assist with packaging
- Perform quality checks
- Support machine operators and complete documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Training & Schedule
- Train on 1st shift (7 AM–3 PM)
- Move to 3rd shift (11 PM–7 AM) after training
- Saturday overtime scheduled in advance
What You Bring
- Some manufacturing or industrial experience
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly
- Basic math and attention to detail
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs
- Willing to work 3rd shift and overtime
- Stable work history-1 year with the same employer
- Reliable, safety‑focused, team‑oriented mindset
Pay & Benefits
- $20.00–$23.40/hr based on experience
- $2/hr 3rd‑shift premium
- Time and a half after 40 hrs; double time after 48 hrs
- Vacation 11 paid holidays
- Day 1 benefits: medical, dental, vision, life (87% medical cost covered)
- 401(k): 3% automatic company contribution up to 2% match
- Quarterly profit‑sharing: avg. $6,000–$10,000 annually
- $180 boot allowance
- Tuition reimbursement $5,000 adoption benefit
