What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Production Equipment Operator - Metals & Finishing position at Worthington Manufacturing?
- Run equipment across assembly, testing, material handling, welding, press room, and paint line operations.
- Execute detailed build instructions to produce safe, high‑quality parts.
- Catch defects, correct issues, and document actions taken.
- Count, label, and manage small parts with precision.
- Follow safety policies and standard work at all times.
- Ability to perform physical, repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Strong hand–eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfort with basic math and computer systems.
- Skill in reading and following detailed instructions.
- Knowledge of part numbers, sizes, and basic quality checks.
- Bonus: forklift and/or crane licenses.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. ( $1.50/hour)
- 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. ( $1.50/hour)
Base Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour. Shift Differential: $1.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
