Assistant Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach
Qualifications:
- Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of wrestling, with a willingness to continue learning new theories, strategies, and procedures related to the sport.
- Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes through instruction, leadership, and actions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and leading practices.
- Work with the varsity head coach to support and administer a comprehensive wrestling program.
- Supervise student-athletes involved in the program.
- Follow and support rules and procedures as defined by ISD 518.
Job Goal:
To instruct student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach will also model and teach behaviors that promote character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, and pride of accomplishment. The coach is expected to continue developing professional knowledge and skills through clinics, observations, consultation, and other learning opportunities.
Reports To:
The Assistant Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach reports to the Head Wrestling Coach and Activities Director.
