WAVE is currently looking for an Electro Mechanic Technician to join our team!
This position is responsible for all activities associated with the maintenance of facility operations. An Electro-Mechanical Technician must demonstrate the ability to act as a ‘first responder’ when downtime occurs as result of mechanical or electrical failure. This person is responsible for maintaining and operating production equipment to optimize availability, quality and speed inclusive of both mechanical and electrical subsystems.

This position is responsible for all activities associated with the maintenance of facility operations. An Electro-Mechanical Technician must demonstrate the ability to act as a ‘first responder’ when downtime occurs as result of mechanical or electrical failure. This person is responsible for maintaining and operating production equipment to optimize availability, quality and speed inclusive of both mechanical and electrical subsystems.
General Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on building, industrial saws, paint booth, and other auxiliary industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues and apply corrective actions independently. Identify permanent corrective actions and process improvements.
- Requisition repair materials, machine components and parts. Maintain and organize spare parts inventory.
- Safety compliance of equipment per WAVE policies and procedures, as well as OSHA requirements.
- Participate in special projects and/or installations.
- Responsible for assembly and testing of various mechanical devices and complete systems according to blueprints, written or verbal specifications with minimal supervision.
- Safely utilize hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
- Install interlocking safety devices, conduit, electrical panels and other accessory components.
- Assist corporate engineers and other production staff in the debug of equipment on the production floor.
- Perform evaluations of new technologies with potential application as a new process or as a modification to existing equipment.
- Fabricate simple brackets, conduit and hangers, as required.
- Setup, calibrate, and program industrial CNC equipment.
- Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
- Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
- High school diploma or GED
- Required; minimum 2 years or more of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience and familiarity with fabrication, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and building maintenance.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and motors.
- Experience reading electrical and maintenance schematics or blueprints.
- Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
- Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area
- Background check required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
