Job Description

Join our team as an EH&S Manager. This position has primary responsibility for managing the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes for a facility. They work with plant personnel and Corporate EHS to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and the implementation of best practices. They manage internal EHS systems and complete required reports and notifications. They also conduct EHS training and coaching as necessary. This role requires candidates to be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Process Management: Implement all elements of the WI Safety Improvement Process. Ensure EHS systems are implemented and maintained effectively including ISO 14001 and 3E Online and others. Responsible for developing and implementing cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all EHS related laws and regulations. Maintain injury records and post safety related information as required. Maintain written programs to ensure they are up to date and follow Corporate models. Manage environmental permits and ensure proper completion of records and reports. Complete all safety and environmental related testing as required. Inspect property, equipment, and work practices for compliance with regulatory and insurance carrier standards.
  • Training: Educate employees on the regulatory standards applicable to the facility. Instruct all employees on internal EHS policy and procedures. Ensure required safety and environmental training has been identified and completed for new and existing employees. Oversee and implement SafeWorks training where applicable.
  • Risk Assessment: Ensure all job functions have appropriate risk assessments completed using Safety Failure Modes, Effect Analysis (SFMEA) or Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Ensure all necessary personal protective equipment has been identified and is used as required. Coordinate all necessary industrial health and audiometric monitoring.
  • Communication: Manage, support and provide direction to the safety council. Complete internal incident notifications in accordance with company policy. Ensure all hazardous areas and conditions are identified and communicated to employees using appropriate visual and audio techniques.
  • Vendor Management: Responsible for vendor selection, contract management and relationships.
  • Incident Investigation: Oversee incident investigation process to identify root causes. Ensure proper documentation of findings and implementation of corrective actions. Enforce company policy related to drug testing and disciplinary action.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a requirement for this role.

  • 3 – 5 years, Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety compliance
  • Continuing education provided (ISO Training, OTJ, Regulatory Training)

Responsabilidades

Responsable de desarrollar e implementar proyectos de reducción de costos y mejora continua.
  • Cumplimiento: Garantizar el cumplimiento de todas las leyes y regulaciones relacionadas con EHS. Mantener registros de lesiones y publicar información relacionada con la seguridad según se requiera. Mantener programas escritos actualizados y alineados con los modelos corporativos. Gestionar permisos ambientales y asegurar la correcta elaboración de registros e informes. Completar todas las pruebas relacionadas con seguridad y medio ambiente según se requiera. Inspeccionar la propiedad, el equipo y las prácticas laborales para verificar el cumplimiento con las normas regulatorias y de aseguradoras.
  • Capacitación: Educar a los empleados sobre las normas regulatorias aplicables a la instalación. Instruir a todos los empleados en las políticas y procedimientos internos de EHS. Garantizar que la capacitación requerida en seguridad y medio ambiente haya sido identificada y completada para empleados nuevos y existentes. Supervisar e implementar la capacitación SafeWorks cuando aplique.
  • Evaluación de Riesgos: Asegurar que todas las funciones laborales cuenten con evaluaciones de riesgo apropiadas utilizando el Análisis de Modos y Efectos de Falla en Seguridad (SFMEA) o el Análisis de Seguridad en el Trabajo (JSA). Garantizar que se identifique el equipo de protección personal necesario y que se utilice según lo requerido. Coordinar el monitoreo de salud industrial y audiometría necesario.
  • Comunicación: Gestionar, apoyar y proporcionar dirección al consejo de seguridad. Completar notificaciones internas de incidentes de acuerdo con la política de la empresa. Asegurar que todas las áreas y condiciones peligrosas sean identificadas y comunicadas a los empleados utilizando técnicas visuales y auditivas apropiadas.
  • Gestión de Proveedores: Responsable de la selección de proveedores, la gestión de contratos y las relaciones comerciales.
  • Investigación de Incidentes: Supervisar el proceso de investigación de incidentes para identificar causas raíz. Asegurar la documentación adecuada de los hallazgos y la implementación de acciones correctivas. Hacer cumplir la política de la empresa relacionada con pruebas de detección de drogas y acciones disciplinarias.
