Stagecraft Production Technician--Thomas Worthington High School
One full-time Stagecraft Production Technician to work 8hrs per day, Monday through Friday on a 186 day calendar. Responsible for completing tasks involving the set design, layout, and organization needed for theatrical productions.
Overall Duties: Responsible for completing tasks involving the set design, construction, electronics, programming, organization, and teaching needed for theatrical productions. Under general supervision, this position reports to the Building Principal or supervisor as assigned, but daily, will report to the Theatre Director.
Qualifications: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to the 12th grade and two years of experience in set design, layout, and production.

- Designs, creates, builds, and sources props and special effects for theatre productions
- Designs, builds, paints, and installs scenery.
- Designs, programs, and executes lighting and sound design.
- Works directly with students and aids in teaching safe working practices and theatrical knowledge.
- Keeps the scene shop, props, and furniture orderly and clean.
- Keeps tools and equipment in working, safe order.
- Coordinates stage design and layout with the stage director
- Assists in ordering materials and supplies for productions
- Ensures safety procedures are followed in set design and layouts
- Works with students under teacher's direction
- Configures theatre seating for productions
- Writes and distributes promotional theater material for marketing
- Attends performances and coordinates ticket sales, audience seating, the sale of refreshments, etc.
- Tracks and records ticket sales
- Attends in-service and training programs
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Programming, hanging, installing, and troubleshooting lighting and sound.
- Ability to use Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and QLab.
- Ability to use technology to complete daily and assigned tasks appropriate for the position
- Ability to deal effectively with artists and in the community, as well as with students
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Salary Range $25.64/hr to $32.65/hr.
