Job Title: Pipe Welder

Pipe welder is responsible for welding and assembling piping systems used in commercial and industrial construction in accordance with project specifications and company standards. The role includes interpreting blueprints, preparing materials, and performing precise welds to ensure durable, high-quality connections. Responsibilities also involve maintaining strict safety practices, inspecting completed work, and contributing to efficient project completion through skilled and reliable workmanship.
Responsibilities:
Shop Welding:
- Coordinate with Production Supervisor regarding required weld processes per project.
- Collaborate with Shop Lead to meet weld schedule needs and best fit.
- Perform various fabrication projects.
- Assist welders with fitting and problem-solving.
- Share knowledge and experience to maximize daily performance.
- Conduct daily QC/QA.
Weld Certifications:
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and STICK welding.
- Experience with Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel.
- Maintain up-to-date weld certification
Required Experience:
- 2 or more years of pipefitting and welding experience preferred.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Highly reliable.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must pass 6G Welding test
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for 90% of the day.
- Ability to work with ongoing exposure to loud noise for 90% of the day..
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and grasp objects for 90% of the day..
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently for 90% of the day.
