Purpose of the role

Play an integral role in leading and delivering project procurement activities that support the successful execution of complex projects. As Manager, Project Procurement, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across the procurement lifecycle while ensuring materials, equipment, supplies, and services are delivered in alignment with project requirements, commercial objectives, budgets, quality expectations, and schedules.

You will be responsible for leading procurement teams, coordinating closely with engineering, project management, suppliers, and other key stakeholders, and applying sound commercial and technical judgment to resolve complex procurement challenges. You will help strengthen procurement capability, improve project outcomes, and support Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable solutions for our customers.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing project procurement activities to ensure materials, equipment, supplies, and services are delivered in alignment with project scope, budget, quality requirements, and schedules.
  • Developing and executing procurement strategies, plans, procedures, and priorities that support project objectives and broader business goals.
  • Leading, coordinating, and providing technical guidance to procurement personnel, including assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and supporting team development.
  • Partnering with engineering, project management, construction, contracts, logistics, expediting, quality, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project requirements.
  • Overseeing supplier performance, engineering documentation, procurement progress, manufacturing schedules, and delivery commitments while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Resolving complex technical, commercial, quality, schedule, and supplier-related issues using sound business judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and communicating procurement reports, forecasts, schedules, performance metrics, risks, and project status updates to project leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Applying advanced knowledge of procurement systems, processes, tools, and controls to improve efficiency, strengthen project performance, and support continuous improvement.
  • Serving as a procurement subject matter expert by providing technical consultation, guidance, and effective solutions to project teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with Worley policies, project procedures, contractual requirements, ethical standards, and applicable regulations while supporting a strong safety culture.
