Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Parts Salesperson / Service Coordinator to join our team here at Worley Equipment. This role involves managing parts sales, ordering and receiving parts, and coordinating service appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of farm and lawn equipment diagnostics and repair, and experience in retail parts sales and inventory management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills and technical knowledge are essential for success. Moderate to Strong computer skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing farm and lawn equipment parts, utilizing POS systems and inventory control procedures
- Coordinate service appointments, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and timely service maintenance schedule.
- Provide expert advice on farm and lawn equipment diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services
- Manage inventory levels, stock parts accurately, and perform stock replenishment as needed
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, billing, and processing payments
- Maintain organized records using google docs and google sheets, and experience in business management software for inventory and service tracking is a plus. But training is provided.
- Engage with customers via phone etiquette to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and promote additional services or products
- Support marketing efforts by promoting specials or new products to enhance service and parts sales
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the parts department and service area
- Collaborate with the dealership team to meet sales targets and improve overall customer experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in farm and lawn equipment diagnostics, repair, or service coordination preferred
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products and services effectively
- Excellent communication skills is a must. Building relationships with customers to last.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with POS systems, retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures
- Knowledge of equipment repair processes, farm and lawn equipment maintenance, and dealership operations
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order fulfillment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism during our busy seasons.
- Previous experience in retail sales or farm and lawn equipment dealership environments is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, google sheets, google docs, have basic math skills, and phone etiquette are essential for success in this role
