Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Cost Analyst to support the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects. This role is responsible for providing cost control expertise, forecasting project performance, monitoring earned value metrics, and supporting project teams in achieving project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for the preparation, quality, and accuracy of project cost reports; Liaise with project management and clients on all matters related to cost control
Establish, maintain, and update cost control budgets, actuals, and forecasts within Worley’s cost control system
Develop, update, and monitor deliverable earned-progress data and reports with engineering discipline leads
Actively manage cost forecasts; raise, and facilitate the trend process; updates forecast and cash flows
Develop and maintain engineering and services staffing plans
Calculate, explain, and report variances, performance, and other project metrics
Calculate and explain value of work done
Reviewing and validating data with discipline leads for cost reporting data, incurred cost, earned value and forecasts
Managing vendor budgets, commitments, invoices, and forecasting
Supporting project change processes by helping create, review, and track project deviation notices and variations
Participate and review professional services estimates
Incorporate project accounting and financial information from Worley’s financial system
Responding to ad hoc requests and inquiries, as required
Qualifications
Minimum 12 years’ progressive experience in Project Controls
Working knowledge of EcoSys
Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Thorough understanding of project control activities for oil and gas downstream, midstream, or upstream onshore or offshore, mining & metals, and related industries’ projects
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
University degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline (Engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.
