About the Role: You will oversee all on-site activities related to ceiling grid installation within a data center environment, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Working closely with general contractors and other trades, you will coordinate crews, interpret construction blueprints, and maintain quality standards throughout the project. Your leadership will be critical in keeping the project on track and delivering a finished product that meets strict data center specifications and building codes. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and direct daily activities of ceiling grid installation crews on site.
Interpret and apply construction blueprints and specifications to plan and execute ceiling grid layouts. Coordinate work sequences with other trades and contractors to avoid conflicts and delays. Conduct regular inspections of installed ceiling grids to ensure alignment, level, and compliance with project standards.
Manage material planning, delivery, and on-site inventory for ceiling grid components and related supplies. Enforce safety regulations and site protocols, conducting toolbox talks and monitoring compliance. Monitor progress against schedules, adjust manpower and tasks as needed, and report status to project management.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for contractors and clients regarding ceiling grid scope, resolving issues promptly. Demonstrated experience in site supervision, crew coordination, and daily work planning. Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards relevant to interior construction. Competence in managing material usage and inventory to minimize waste and avoid shortages. Strong time management skills with the ability to maintain schedules and meet milestones in fast-paced environments. Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with contractors, site management, and clients.
Desirable Skills: Experience working on data center projects or other mission-critical facilities. Familiarity with specialized ceiling grid systems and components used in high-tech environments. Exposure to digital tools for reporting, scheduling, or site documentation.
Experience coordinating with MEP trades and understanding their impact on ceiling installations. Ability to contribute to continuous improvement of installation methods and site processes. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.
