Job Summary
Verify and maintain records of inventory items in the warehouse. Duties include identifying, counting, and recording quantities to ensure accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can stay on task while working as an individual contributor and as part of a team. Success in this role requires attention to detail, open communication with co-workers including the inventory management team, the ability to follow directions, as well as the ability to identify problems within the inventory process.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
1 years of experience in related position
Forklift/scissor lift experience
Primary Job Duties
- Locate products in the warehouse for identification, counting, and quantity recording.
- Submit product count results daily via scanning device or manual record.
- Communicate with inventory team daily regarding progress, discrepancies, & other pertinent information.
- Confer or correspond with inventory team to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to procedures as they arise.
- Assist in examining shipment contents to verify accuracy by comparing actual items and quantities versus expected, as shown on manifests, invoices, or purchase orders.
- Coordinate the removal and replacement of pallets from racks
- Unwrap, restack, and rewrap pallets for accurate counts as needed
- Move materials within the warehouse using a pallet jack or other appropriate device
