Position Overview:
The MOD will report directly to the Operations Manager and is the main contact for general guidance and questions throughout the property during their MOD shift. The MOD ensures that the day-to-day operations run smoothly in all property divisions including guest services, food and beverage, security, spa, maintenance, and general operations. The MOD is also responsible for ensuring the safety for all employees and guests as well as handling guest problems and complaints. MOD must be able to make quick informed decisions, understand emergency procedures, ensure all employees follow company policies including dress code, breaks etc. The MOD may also complete additional duties as assigned by the General Manager and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- An expert on all WorldSprings operations and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Ensure guests have a positive experience, resolve complaints, and address special requests.
- Oversee and manage staff during designated MOD shift.
- Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide support as needed.
- Monitor the overall operation of the property supporting team members and guests as necessary.
- Ensure team members and guests follow established policies and procedures.
- Regular property walks and check-ins with each department to have a pulse on the property and potential needs.
- Complete opening, closing and pool cleanliness checklists.
- Draft and distribute the morning meeting notes and end of shift recaps.
- Lead the supervisor daily huddle each morning shift and ensure knowledge handoff to evening shift.
- Be prepared to act as the first point of contact during emergencies or critical situations.
- Coordinate responses to incidents, such as medical emergencies, fires, security breaches etc.
- Maintain accurate incident reports, recording details of accidents, injuries, critical situations and any medical interventions.
- Enforce safety standards to keep guests and team members safe.
- Address any safety concerns or issues with law enforcement and emergency personnel if necessary.
- Aid in the opening and closing of the property, securing the building with the safety team member.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or degree in related field preferred.
- 2 minimum years of relevant experience preferred.
