Driver/Caregiver

Worldshine Adult Medical Day Care - the largest adult day care community is now hiring for Driver. The Driver is cross-trained to do all tasks assigned by Transportation manager. This is a training and development role with the hope that you will aspire to become part of our essential personnel in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the vehicle in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Clean the vehicle as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensure the vehicle is safely and securely stored.
• Inform the transportation manager of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
• Pick up participants in the morning and bring them home in the afternoon.
• Assist with food services, activities and/or other duties as assigned.
• Fill and submit the daily transportation log to the manager.
• Ensure high quality transportation services.
• Must maintain professional demeanor at all times.
• Complete all required training annually.
• Other duties assigned.
• Bilingual preferred

Qualifications:

• Valid Class C driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record
• Pass the Criminal background check and commercial driver physical examination
• Able to lift 60LB equipment (wheelchair etc.)
• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor or culinary degree preferred.
• Experienced in transportation service field.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to handle emergency situation
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills, bilingual preferred.
• Have knowledge of health compliance regulations.

Pay: $17.65 - $19.00 per hour
