Engineering Development Lead - Full Stack

Worldscape is looking for a seasoned Engineering Development Lead to join our expanding team. We are at the forefront of AI decision-making, working with state-of-the-art distributed architecture and data management techniques to ensure our platform delivers the right AI-driven decisions for all our customers - from individual app developers to large enterprise organizations - while enabling agentic integration across our AI fabric.

As an Engineering Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead the delivery of features across the stack for our growing customer base. You will guide a growing team tackling complex challenges and developing real-time cloud solutions that unlock unprecedented insight and strategic foresight for our customers. We are looking for an experienced manager who is highly technical, hands-on, and comfortable navigating complex problems while driving solutions in collaboration with multiple partner teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable and high-performance systems.
• Lead and document solution architecture, ensuring clear communication of value propositions and technical approach.
• Own delivery of team deliverables through sprint planning and managing complex, ambiguous scenarios with innovative solutions. 
• Provides technical leadership during code reviews for a solution/product area to ensure it meets the team's and Worldscape’s quality standards   
• Lead mentor and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Grow and develop a team of engineers, sharing best practices, resolving blockers, and making Worldscape the best place to work.
• Innovate and optimize features for performance and reliability.  
• Ensure seamless collaboration between internal and external teams.  
• Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the product and features. 
• Triage, mitigate, and semantically resolve customer issues as well as instantiate a strong on-call culture.
• Drive a DevOps culture of supporting our customers, ownership of the platform and accountability to the service up time and health metrics.
• Hands-on technical lead, spending at least 50% of time actively coding and contributing to development
  
  

Professional Qualifications

• Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of experience in delivering technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Distributed Systems).
• Experience with shipping distributed cloud experiences across large scale software solutions.
• 5 years managing multiple projects or portfolio teams.
• 3 years of experience working in agile, fast-paced environments, navigating ambiguity, and facilitating impactful outcomes.
• Hands-on experience developing full-stack solutions (C#, Java, Typescript ,React, Next.js, Typescript, Node.js)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in full stack development, from portal to all layers of the offerings.
• Master’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Experience with nsjail, Firecracker and MS Orleans preferred.
• Experience with vector databases, semantic search, and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning, planning algorithms, or multi-agent coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
• Experience in hiring full stack engineers, mentoring, setting up team culture, and collaboration.
  
  

$160,000 - $200,000 a year

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and equity awards.
