Director of Maintenance and Construction
At Worlds of Fun, we are seeking a Director of Maintenance and Construction to oversee all phases of maintenance and construction. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in long-term construction planning for new park projects.
- Overseeing all construction projects, including negotiating contracts, scheduling contractors, and coordinating with architects and engineers.
- Managing employee performance, including training, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
- Communicating division status to Vice President & General Manager on an ongoing basis.
- Directing and participating in the preparation of labor, operating expense, capital, and EWO budgets for the division.
Qualifications include:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated mental and emotional capability to make sound decisions quickly during emergency situations.
- B.A. Engineering, Sciences, or Project Management.
- 6-10 years of experience in theme/amusement/water park maintenance.
