Worldpac, a leading name in automotive parts distribution, is looking for an EHS Manager (Regional) to be responsible for supporting the EHS Leadership team and being a liaison between multi-site functions. Core responsibilities will consist of working closely with the Site Managers to achieve performance excellence and alignment in EHS programs, practices, and security strategies.
The Regional Manager will establish a strong working relationship with the organizational stakeholders and the operational leadership team, driving a safe working culture and providing leadership with necessary support to implement effective EHS programs. Alignment with Corporate EHS to enable the site to effectively identify and mitigate EHS risks. This role will support EHS programs in accordance with federal, provincial, state, local regulations, and internal standards to drive continual improvement and an incident-free work environment.
They will act as a change agent to accelerate best practice sharing across their facilities through coaching and advising and providing subject matter expertise.
This position will report to the Senior Director of EHS.

What You Will Contribute at Worldpac
EHS Principles – Develop a culture of ownership focused on engagement and empowerment.
Supports the site leadership to ensure the site’s success drive towards zero environmental and employee health, safety and security incidents.
Participate in the WORLDPAC EHS network (communities, conferences, audits) representing the site to develop and implement WORLDPAC programs and practices consistency throughout the organization.
Partners with site Leadership team on Incident Management/Notification.
Develop a strong relationship and facilitate employee-led behavior-based safety processes in a team-based environment.
Support all incident and near-miss investigations to uncover the root causes and ensure execution and tracking the completion of corrective actions.
Support the site Plant Manager and leadership team to develop Site EHS Key Priorities including loss analysis with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensures these are aligned with Corporate Strategies, Programs and Plans with the objective of sustainable Best in Class EHS performance.
Serve as a leader for the implementation of EHS management systems. Works through established systems and applies related tools. Effectively coach and utilize EHS tools, Programs, and systems to enhance the Site’s overall Safety performance.
Prevention – Reduce business risk by utilizing processes to identify, mitigate and eliminate unsafe conditions and business processes.
Lead cross functional Process Improvement Teams to address EHS and security site issues, formulate proposal for strategic and tactical responses, and advise site leadership of impacts and mitigation strategies.
Develop comprehensive plans that outline policies and practices to minimize risks associated with vehicle use and improve driver safety within the company's fleet.
Analyze incident data to identify trends and incident types that can be prevented.
Partner, coach, and support Regional and site Leadership Teams with EHS goals, objectives, and elimination of losses.
Monitor the health of each plant’s EHS Programs within their BU/Region Platform.
Assist and support facilities with development of health and safety improvement plans.
Compliance - Proactively identify improvement opportunities by leveraging external benchmarking and internal successes.
Monitor EHS regulatory compliance within WorldPAC facilities.
Interpret and provide guidance on policies, legislation and documents related to environmental, health and safety Fleet and security initiatives to ensure compliance of all employees, equipment and the facility.
Conduct regular environmental, health, safety, and security audits, identify, and evaluate hazards in the workplace and recommend solutions to minimize or eliminate risk.
Support sites with strategic solutions that will support efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
Oversight of facility initiatives including monthly/quarterly health checks.
Improvement – Aids in development of site EHS talent through active support, coaching and feedback with the goal of developing talent. Leads in technical development of EHS capabilities of all employees and contractors through effective content development and delivery of site EHS training that ensures comprehension.
Support cross functional relationships with site Food Safety Quality, Engineering and Maintenance organizations.
Serves as Health & Safety technical and regulatory Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Branch and Distribution platform through communication and monitoring (Audit) of regulatory requirements or changes.
Train, Coach, and support safety committee members and provide input to Regional/GM’s on performance management.
Build capability through providing the necessary knowledge to maintain a safe workplace for employees.
Communicate best practices and lessons learned shared from other sites to the site steering team, identifying areas of similar risk/exposure to mitigate.
What You Should Have
Education: B.S. in Scientific, Engineering, or technical discipline or related field
Must-Have Skills:
Minimum of 7 years of relevant, EHS experience
Trained subject matter expertise familiar with OSHA/EPA regulations
Leadership skills, including the ability to achieve results by influencing key stakeholders
Knowledgeable in Process Safety Management and/or EPA’s Risk Management Plan Standards.
Technical EHS skills: behavior-based principles, engineering, hazard recognition, risk assessment and worker compensation administration
Have a general understanding of warehouses, equipment, and systems typically found in a distribution environment
Nice-to-Have Skills (but not required):
Minimum of 3 years of multi-site experience preferred
Professional certification CSP, CIH, CHP preferred
Experience with environmental management information systems (EMIS) and support software (ex. InfoTrack and/or other LMS systems) preferred.

Worldpac expects to pay a base salary in the range provided on this job posting. Generally, we look to bring in candidates around the 50th percentile of the advertised range.
