The Continuous Improvement Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across distribution, warehousing, and office environments. This role leads cross functional projects, facilitates Kaizen events or workshops, and collaborates with frontline operators and associates to implement and sustain improvements. The position is full-time, with standard business hours with domestic travel expected to be in the 40-60% range.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence projects to improve business processes and financial outcomes.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and training sessions for associates and teams.
- Develop and implement business process maps, flow logics, decision trees, SOPs, and training materials for frontline and office associates.
- Coach and mentor teams, transfer knowledge, and monitor/manage performance using data and analytics.
- Apply value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving approaches to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute improvement opportunities using PDCA, DMAIC, or other proven approaches.
- Ensure change management best practices are applied to sustain improvements.
- Report on project progress, outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance.
- Training, coaching, and mentoring operations leaders and staff at the Distribution Center (DC), Branch (warehouses), corporate offices.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, coach teams, and manage performance using data and analytics to improve revenue, quality, availability, SLAs, and cost.
- Demonstrated ability to work using principles, frameworks, systems, and knowledge processes to support capability development/deployment.
- Effectively communicate, listen, and solve problems. A winning together attitude/approach to leading teams and individuals.
- 6-9 years hands-on experience applying Lean, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.
- Experience leading large projects and facilitating Kaizen events/workshops.
- Proven ability to develop business process documentation and training materials.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification required; Black Belt preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when data is limited, incomplete, or ambiguous.
- Periodic reporting on project progress, outcomes, and KPIs to leadership.
- Demonstrate leadership through influence, overcoming roadblocks professionally, and enabling people development at the core of problem solving.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and hypothesis-driven experimentation.
- Capable of designing, building, and rolling out effective test criteria for improvement initiatives.
- Classroom and working experience in managing multi-dimensional improvement projects and refined change management approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Other Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Advanced training/certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or similar methodologies.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt or similar advanced certification preferred.
