The Continuous Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting and driving operational excellence initiatives across distribution, logistics, and warehousing. This role leverages data analysis, process mapping, and dashboards to identify, analyze, and implement improvements that enhance business performance. The Analyst works cross-functionally to support CI projects, develop performance dashboards, and provide actionable insights to business and process owners. The position is full-time, with standard business hours with domestic travel expected to be in the 20-40% range.

Responsibilities
- Support and execute continuous improvement (CI) projects using data analysis, hypothesis formulation, and quantitative methods.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key metrics, trends, and exceptions.
- Apply process/value stream mapping and operational knowhow to identify improvement opportunities at the branch and DC.
- Collaborate with distribution, logistics, and branch teams to apply data and technology for process optimization, data consolidation, and reporting.
- Interpret large volumes of operational data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for business decisions or support in-flight projects.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in the development of business process documentation, SOPs, standard work, and training materials.
- Ensure change management best practices are applied to sustain improvements.
- Periodically report on project progress, outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned initiatives.
- Experience with process layouts, ergonomics, simulation/modeling, and labor/time standards in high-volume, CPG, or distribution environments.
- Previous experience supporting or leading large-scale improvement initiatives/projects with data analysis and reporting.
- Effectively communicate, listen, and solve problems.
- A winning together attitude/approach to leading teams and individuals.
- 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, process/value stream mapping, or operational support roles.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and aggregate large datasets, develop dashboards, and support critical business decisions.
- Effective communicator, able to present complex findings clearly to diverse audiences from executive leaders to shop floor associates.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Experience working with AI, supply chain, data teams, and business/process owners on large-scale improvement initiatives is preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership through influence.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and hypothesis-driven experimentation.
- Capable of designing, building, and rolling out effective test criteria for improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing multi-dimensional improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Operations, or related field.
- Six Sigma or Lean certification preferred; working knowledge of lean and operational excellence methodologies is a plus.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or similar advanced certification preferred.
- Power BI data analysis, Google data analytics, or similar certification preferred.
