WorldLink Truck Driving Academy is seeking motivated, experienced CDL drivers to add to our team of high performing Class A CDL Truck Driving Instructors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver classroom, equipment, range, and road instruction
- Monitor student progress and provide additional assistance as necessary
- Prepare reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, policies, and school regulations
- Manage student behavior in the classroom and on the range by enforcing rules and procedures
- Keep current with laws and developments related to commercial truck driving
- Use relevant technology to support instruction
- Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Licensing & Experience: Valid Class A CDL license with at least 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience (Driver Training Instructor License preferred, but not required).
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Age & Physical Capability: At least 25 years old and physically able to operate the vehicle.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than 2 driving offenses or accidents in the past 2 years, and no DUI in the past 10 years.
- CDL Restrictions: Must not have an "E" (Automatic Transmission) restriction on the CDL or Motor Vehicle Report.
- Skills: Basic computer capabilities, strong verbal/written communication, and patience/leadership capabilities for guiding students.
Required Application Documents & Verification
- Medical Certificate: Copy of a valid, unexpired Medical Examiner Certificate.
- Driving History: Full Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Drug Testing: Date of the most recent DOT drug test.
- Clearinghouse Check: FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query dated within one month prior to submission.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
