In this pivotal role, you will provide legal advice on a wide range of issues relating to consumer protection, artificial intelligence, biometrics, privacy, financial regulations, marketing, IP, and digital currencies. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing complex matters and projects across multiple jurisdictions.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at TFH ranges from $200,000 - $250,000, plus a competitive long term incentive package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Position Overview:
Tools for Humanity is seeking an experienced Product Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, you will provide legal advice on a wide range of issues relating to consumer protection, artificial intelligence, biometrics, privacy, financial regulations, marketing, IP, and digital currencies. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing complex matters and projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ship product: Serve as key legal partner for various product and engineering teams and projects, advising throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Mitigate risk: Identify, analyze, and mitigate product, regulatory, privacy, and online safety risks across jurisdictions.
- Build process: Implement creative legal strategies and scalable processes for risk management, and help advance AI and cryptocurrency policy positions.
- Pitch in: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and advisors on US and international laws; draft terms of use and product policies; support go-to-market strategies.
- 5 years of experience in product counsel roles within the financial services or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the law relating to several of: financial services, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, privacy, biometrics, online safety, marketing, and/or consumer protection.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A proactive and collaborative team player with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
- US Candidates: Juris Doctor from a top tier law school. Membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
