About The Company

World is building a real human network designed to accelerate people in the age of AI. As bots and autonomous agents reshape the internet, people, institutions, and applications need a trusted way to confirm who is a real human while preserving privacy. Our products make this possible: the Orb verifies real people, World ID proves it privately, and World App enables and distributes the new applications made possible by this technology. Together, they form a new layer for AI internet.

We’re one of the fastest-growing networks in tech. More than 17 million people across 160 countries have verified with World ID, and we complete over 350,000 verifications each week. World App is already among the most used wallets globally. Developers are integrating World ID to build safer online experiences and create spaces where real people can participate, earn, and be recognized in ways AI simply can’t replicate.

World was founded in 2019 and launched globally in 2023. We are more than 400 people across hardware, software, AI, cryptography, mobile engineering, and global operations. Our teams come from OpenAI, Tesla, SpaceX, Apple, Google, Stripe, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir and MIT Media Lab. We’re backed by leading investors, including a16z, Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Crypto, Blockchain Capital, Variant, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, as well as prominent operators and founders across fintech and AI.

World has been featured on the cover of TIME Magazine, highlighted in Fast Company’s Next 5 in Fintech, and explored in a Bloomberg deep dive. The New York Times, Bankless and TechCrunch have all recognized our progress in identity, cryptography, AI, and global-scale hardware deployment. Our leadership is also named to the Time AI 100. About The Team

Central Operations defines how the World project comes to life in the field. We design the service model, ensure operators succeed at scale, and drive quality, compliance, and user trust across every market. Our team partners closely with Product, Customer Experience, Marketing, Legal, Comms, Logistics, and Operations to make World accessible, reliable, and human-centered.

About The Role

Tools for Humanity is hiring a Localization Quality and Operational Lead to make localization a release-critical, business-enabling function at World. You will own the strategy of the quality systems, and execution of localization quality across the company, ensuring we can deliver consistently high caliber experiences in the markets we already serve. This role directly supports user trust, regulatory confidence, and release velocity.

This is a highly cross-functional role. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, CX, Comms, and Legal to embed localization quality into release workflows, make clear launch-readiness decisions, and deliver localized content that reflects World’s brand voice while meeting standards for accuracy, speed, and usability. The ideal candidate is a strong operator with deep localization expertise, sound business judgment, and a track record of improving quality and efficiency at scale.

In This Role, You Will Own And Scale

  • Strategy & Process Development: Build and scale localization processes, quality frameworks, and governance models that make localization quality and release readiness predictable.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee end-to-end localization delivery for priority launches and projects, ensuring quality, speed, and consistency across languages, with QA embedded throughout the lifecycle.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Own localization quality assurance resourcing and vendor performance, ensuring QA investment supports high quality outcomes efficiently and at scale.
  • Quality & Brand Voice: Own localization quality (LQC/LQA) and end-to-end delivery for priority areas, ensuring brand consistency, linguistic accuracy, and release readiness across markets.
  • Technology & Tools: Leverage localization tooling, automation, and onboard QA solutions to improve quality and release speed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, CX, Comms, and Legal to surface localization risks early and support clear launch-readiness decisions.
  • Advocacy: Set and reinforce expectations for localization quality across the organization, ensuring its role in user and partner trust, regulatory confidence, and global growth is clearly understood.

You Thrive In This Role If You Have

  • 6–8 years of client-side localization experience, owning outcomes across multiple languages, content types, and frequent release cycles, ideally in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Proven experience building and scaling localization quality processes and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong experience managing vendors, freelance linguists, and AI/machine-translation workflows, balancing quality, speed, and cost.
  • The ability to turn localization quality insights into clear, actionable decisions for stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong cultural and linguistic judgment, paired with exceptional attention to detail.
  • High ownership and accountability, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Bonus: Experience with localization tooling migrations or technical implementation of translation platforms.
