What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager, Employee Relations position at World Wide Technology Holding, LLC?

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in a related field required, 10 years' experience preferred.
  • 5 years in an HR Business Partner role preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Human Resources required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through HRCI preferred or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Possesses expert communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal
  • Proven strength in building partnerships; working collaboratively in a matrix; with proven influencing skills
  • Exercises independent, informed and considered judgment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of HR employment laws and regulations
  • Analyzes data to identify trends and make recommendations to management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with high attention to details.
  • Applies superior critical thinking skills to identify solutions to difficult problems
  • Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Up to 10% of the time Domestic Travel only

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $116k to $145k annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

A Brief Overview
The Senior Manager, Employee Relations serves as an experienced, trusted advisor to both leaders and employees. This role will be responsible for leading a team that handles formal investigations and employee relations concerns. This role will also directly handle investigations, as required. This includes documenting cases, evaluating data and understanding how to propose strategy in this space to reduce risk. A successful Senior Manager, ER will develop great relationships based on trust, be a strong communicator and lead through influence.
Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of ER professionals ensuring high standards and expectations are met
  • Leads formal investigations ensuring compliance with all federal state and local laws
  • Handles and resolves complex employee relations concerns with follow up and guidance on resolution
  • Assesses and/or creates metric reporting, identifies trends and pro actively advises leadership, as appropriate
  • Documents cases and works with legal on any outstanding litigation
  • Works with senior leaders to propose and advise on people strategies
  • Effectively communicates and influences with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Partners with HRBPs and legal to ensure consistency and align on HR practices
  • Assists with HR processes throughout the year including performance management initiatives
  • Provides counsel to leaders and senior leaders to mitigate risk

  • Other duties as assigned

Salary : $116,000 - $145,000
