We are seeking an Infrastructure Storage Engineer to play a key role in advancing how we deliver and manage storage at scale — spanning Kubernetes-native platforms, Microsoft Azure, and on-premises NetApp infrastructure. This role goes beyond day-to-day operations; it offers the opportunity to be a meaningful contributor to the evolution of our storage platform, with responsibilities that include building self-service workflows, driving automation initiatives, and supporting our strategic shift toward cloud-native storage architectures.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with platform, cloud, and infrastructure engineering teams, taking clear ownership over defined storage services and operational outcomes. This role offers a strong growth trajectory for engineers looking to expand from storage operations into the intersection of Kubernetes, cloud, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain NetApp ONTAP systems through provisioning, capacity management, upgrades, and performance troubleshooting
- Drive progressive migration from legacy on-premises storage toward cloud-native architectures
- Design, operate, and improve persistent storage for Kubernetes workloads using NetApp Trident and CSI drivers
- Own StorageClass design, volume snapshots, cloning, and PVC (Persistent Volume Claim) lifecycle management
- Support and troubleshoot storage in OpenShift Kubernetes environments
- Operate and optimize Azure storage services including Blob Storage, Azure Files, Managed Disks, and Azure NetApp Files
- Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments
- Build and maintain storage provisioning workflows using Ansible, or equivalent IaC tooling
- Incorporate AI coding assistants into automation, IaC authoring, log analysis, and documentation workflows
- Administer object storage platforms supporting cloud-native workloads, unstructured data, and backup targets
- Implement backup, replication, and DR solutions across hybrid environments
- Leverage observability tooling to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact workloads
