Job Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping and assembling components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, accuracy, and safety in the fabrication process for products or structures.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, and prepare metal components using saws, shears, torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Assemble parts and verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, tape measures and other precision tools.
- Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, organized condition.
- Assist in material handling, layout and setup of fabrication projects
- Communicate effectively with the production team and supervisors to ensure on-time delivery
- Preform other related duties
Skills
- Experience with CNC plasma or laser cutting
- Forklift or overhead crane
- Familiarity with structural steel or custom fabrication
- Basic mechanical skills
