WORLD WIDE PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean constructions, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches to enable breakthroughs in performance.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager/Superintendent – Site Utility Lead to support our growing construction management team in West Lafayette, IN. This role may be filled by an experienced Project Manager with deep experience coordinating site utility infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong background working with third-party utility organizations and managing construction requirements related to electrical (HVSS and site HVSS contractors), potable water, city wastewater, natural gas, and potentially bulk gas suppliers.

This position is embedded within a large-scale industrial construction program and plays a critical role in enabling timely site readiness and utility integration. The Site Utility Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical, logistical, and construction aspects of all incoming and onsite utilities, ensuring clear alignment between the owner, EPC teams, design professionals, external utility providers, and installation contractors.

Local candidates highly preferred. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary coordination lead for all site utilities, including electrical (HVSS), potable water, city wastewater, natural gas, and bulk gas providers.
  • Interface daily with third-party utility companies to confirm schedules, installation requirements, design clarifications, and right-of-way or tie-in constraints.
  • Validate utility provider scope, installation methods, sequencing, and design conformance to ensure alignment with overall project requirements.
  • Lead coordination for design reviews, field clarifications, submittal approvals, and RFIs related to site utility infrastructure.
  • Perform regular site walkdowns and verify contractor and utility-provider installation practices, redlines, and deviations.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC personnel to ensure inspection plans are implemented and all utility connections meet project and regulatory standards.
  • Track progress against utility provider schedules and proactively mitigate risks or delays affecting project milestones.
  • Coordinate closely with design teams, client technical groups, construction coordinators, and trade partners to resolve field-level issues quickly.
  • Support commissioning teams during utility activation, tie-ins, energization, and system readiness milestones.
  • Maintain discipline-specific documentation within Autodesk Construction Cloud or the project management platform, including utility schedules, issue logs, permits, test records, and progress reports.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff by sharing best practices and field knowledge related to site utilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–10 years of experience in construction or engineering roles supporting site utilities, utility coordination, industrial infrastructure, or related work.
  • Direct experience coordinating with third-party utility providers such as electrical service companies, municipal water/wastewater agencies, natural gas suppliers, or bulk gas vendors.
  • Strong field presence with the ability to lead installation oversight, resolve conflicts, and engage effectively with craft labor and trade partners.
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced, schedule-driven scopes on large industrial or high-tech construction projects.
  • Proficiency interpreting construction drawings, utility plans, one-lines, P&IDs, schematics, redlines, and technical submittals.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to align multiple external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce compliance with project specifications, utility-provider requirements, and installation standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms a plus.
  • Experience supporting commissioning, energization, and utility turnover processes preferred.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent field experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
