World Wide Corals in Orlando, FL is looking for two farm associates to join our strong team. We are located on 5402 Central Florida Parkway.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced hobbyist, well versed in coral fragging and / or fish husbandry.

Job Overview :

Farm Technicians main focuses are the cultivation of corals through propagation / coral fragmentation. Responsibilities & Duties :

• Your hands will potentially be wet for no less than 50% of your day.
• Do a thorough walkthrough, report and address all coral health concerns.
• Perform any daily life support functions specified by your manager if requested.
• Record, report and address any equipment or system functionality related concerns found during your walkthrough or pending on the schedule.
• Fragging corals and growth management.
• Actively learn corals by type and name as well as their care requirements and placement. This will better assist you in organizing and putting away corals while fragging.
• General service, including algae control, detritus, pest and snail removal
• Learn how to use our water mixing and delivery system.
• Assist in any receiving processes, whether it be fish inverts or corals.
• Report inventory on inventory day.
• Accurately report your workday to your direct manager.
• Pest control and management. Acknowledgement of pests such as Acropora eating flatworms, Zoanthid eating nudibranchs and Montipoaras eating nudibranchs.
• Learn any processes specific to your role, not to exclude coral or fish quarantine. As well as fish or coral medication..

Position Summary

The position is not limited to these activities and would likely involve other daily tasks. We ask that all staff keep an open mind to work assignments because ultimately we work with live animals and this regularly changes our focus.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in the saltwater aquarium hobby

Available shifts and compensation : Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation depends on your experience.
