Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems such as Square to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions confidently, ensuring proper cash handling and cashiering procedures are followed
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support quality service delivery
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within a café or retail environment
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage customization options
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square for efficient sales processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and serving standards
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and café operations is highly desirable
