What are the responsibilities and job description for the Countertop Measurer position at World Stone?
World Stone is a granite countertop fabricator servicing most of North and South Carolina. We are currently hiring a measure tech. A measure tech's primary role is to go to jobsites, houses or commercial buildings, and measure cabinets for hard surface countertops. All measurements are taken with a laser that plot points on an attached computer running a simple CAD software.
Responsibilities include:
- Taking accurate measurements with the equipment provided to ensure the correct countertops get cut.
- Looking at the calendar of work and setting your schedule of jobs in a logical order.
- Driving in a company vehicle to different scheduled measures and using the laser to measure cabinets for countertops.
- Communicating schedule and timing with both our project managers and homeowners on arrival times.
- Talking with homeowners to set expectations about their finished product and installation.
Requirements
- A basic understanding of CAD software is preferred but not required.
- Must have a clean driving record. A background check will be performed.
- Ability to effectively communicate schedule and expectations to project managers and customers.
