Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail- oriented Financial Controller to join and lead our Finance Division in Las Vegas. The Financial Controller to lead and manage financial operations across all aspects of the business. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance, and strategic alignment to support growth and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, revenue recognition, and cost accounting
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process for WSOP operations
• Develop financial forecasts and scenario modeling
• Track variance analysis and provide insights to leadership for course correction

Cash & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow, funding requirements, and currency exposure.
• Oversee treasury activities and vendor payments, including international transactions.

Event Cost Control

• Develop and monitor cost frameworks for live tournaments, venues, staff, and broadcast production
• Ensure cost optimization while maintaining a premium player experience

Digital & Licensing Oversight

• Collaborate with partners to monitor digital revenue streams, licensing agreements, and royalty payments
• Support finance integration across online platforms and mobile apps

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with operations, marketing, legal, and executive teams to align financial strategy with brand goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA required
• 7 years of experience in financial management; fintech, gaming, events, or media experience a strong plus
• Deep understanding of financial controls, cash handling, and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage INTACCT) and advanced Excel
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
• Able to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting international operations, especially across EMEA and APAC regions
• Knowledge of payment processing practises
• Familiarity with iGaming revenue models and affiliate/licensing structures
