Job Summary

The Order Fulfillment & Sequencing Specialist supports a new World Resources service line dedicated to sequencing ASSA ABLOY window balances for supply to a key window manufacturer. This position is responsible for independently processing orders from start to finish — retrieving orders from the ASSA ABLOY internal system, picking the correct balances from inventory, sequencing and organizing them into shipping bins, and completing the final steps to prepare each shipment. As workload allows, the position also supports general warehouse operations, including pulling and staging other inventory. The role requires a self-directed, detail-oriented individual who works efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is comfortable using computer and warehouse systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and process orders from the ASSA ABLOY internal computer system independently and accurately.
  • Pick the correct window balances from inventory in the specified quantities and configurations.
  • Sequence and organize picked items into shipping bins in the required order.
  • Complete the final steps to prepare each order for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging.
  • Verify order accuracy against system records and packing requirements before shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders processed and inventory movement.
  • Support general warehouse operations, including pulling and staging other inventory, as time allows.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and adhere to all safety requirements and operational procedures.
  •  Identify and promptly communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, or shipment issues.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance, including adherence to scheduled hours, in order to meet the demands of the role.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

(Required and desired)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) or more years of experience in warehouse operations, order picking, fulfillment, or a related field preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and warehouse technology; able to learn and utilize company and vendor software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage orders from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain consistent processes.
  • Experience in building materials, construction products, windows and doors, distribution, or wholesale environments a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical & Mental Demands

Active warehouse work. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion. Manual dexterity to pick, handle, sequence, and organize product; close visual acuity to verify orders against system records.


Basic computer use required to retrieve and process orders. Maintains concentration and focus on tasks; learns and applies new skills; identifies and resolves discrepancies.


Work Environment

  • The work environment is that which an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: Must be able to safely work in both warehouse and office environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and typical warehouse conditions.
