Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician, preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience, required
- Excellent data entry skills
- Attention to detail and be able to work under deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain current pharmacy technician license, if applicable
- Provide assistance to patients and health care providers, in person and on the phone
- Data entry of new and refill prescriptions, including long-term care admissions
- File prescriptions and documentation as required by pharmacy regulations
- Assist with billing procedures
- Work cooperatively with insurance companies and assist with third party insurance audits
- Assist with Board of Pharmacy inspections, as needed
- Contact physicians’ offices with questions regarding prescriptions
- Complete routine operational tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist On Duty
- Strictly adhere to ethical, regulatory, and quality assurance requirement
- Maintain clean work space, equipment and supplies
