Duties
- Stock shelves with fresh produce, ensuring items are organized, properly labeled, and visually appealing
- Use RF scanners and inventory control systems to track stock levels and manage product rotation
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely for loading, unloading, and moving produce
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the produce area, including cleaning displays and equipment
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about produce varieties, and provide friendly service
- Support shipping & receiving processes by loading and unloading deliveries accurately and efficiently
- Conduct regular inventory management tasks to prevent spoilage, monitor stock levels, and reorder supplies as needed
Skills
- Proficiency with RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklift operation, and warehouse equipment for efficient materials handling
- Strong knowledge of produce types, retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery store operations
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory control, stock rotation, and product presentation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices during stocking or unloading activities
- Effective communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual) preferred for serving diverse customer bases
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to inventory management and sales transactions
- Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable to enhance customer interactions
