The Opportunity
As a Teacher Assistant at World of Wonder Early Learning Center, you’ll work alongside experienced Head Teachers to support curriculum implementation and create joyful, structured, and safe learning environments where children thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities, lesson plans, and child-centered play.
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors to maintain safety and compliance with DCF ratio standards.
- Assist in maintaining classroom organization, cleanliness, and sanitization routines.
- Promote positive behavior through patience, redirection, and encouragement.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and families as directed.
- Uphold the center’s mission, values, and health/safety policies.
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications (Required under NJ DCF Chapter 52)
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred (or willingness to complete within 2 years of hire).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or educational setting.
- At least 16 years of age per N.J.A.C. 3A:52 requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and respond quickly in active environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple age groups (infant, toddler, preschool).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
- Familiarity with Grow NJ Kids quality standards.

The Process
We value your time and are committed to a transparent, respectful hiring experience:
- Interview – 15-minute in-person.
- Assessment – Complete a brief online leadership or skills test and send your results within 24 hours.
- On-site Observation Visiter Preview – 3-hour supervised classroom visit.
- Conditional Offer – Employment offer within 5 business days after Observation Visiter experience.
All offers are contingent upon successful completion of post-offer checks including Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), Criminal History Record Information (CHRI), Sex Offender Registry, physical exam, and TB screening, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 3A:52-4.5.
