Position Overview
World of Pickleball is seeking a motivated and highly organized Tournament Director to help grow and manage one of the nation’s leading amateur pickleball tours. This role involves overseeing tournament operations from planning to execution, coordinating with venues and players, and helping create exceptional event experiences across the country.
This position includes travel to tournaments approximately 1–2 times per month.
Responsibilities
* Select and coordinate tournament venues
* Create, organize, and manage pickleball tournaments and event schedules
* Promote events through outreach, marketing support, and community engagement
* Manage player communication and registrations
* Oversee tournament operations on-site during events
* Coordinate brackets, schedules, vendors, sponsors, and staff
* Ensure events run professionally and efficiently
* Assist with tournament growth initiatives and player experience improvements
Qualifications
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Comfortable working weekends during tournament events
* Passion for sports, events, or pickleball preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Public speaking experience
* Experience running sports events or tournaments
* Familiarity with Pickleball.com tournament software
* Marketing or social media experience is a plus
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and role involvement.
Travel
Travel to tournaments 1–2 times per month is expected.
