Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students, while also providing guidance and support to fellow educators. The Lead Teacher will play a crucial role in developing lesson plans, implementing educational programs, and ensuring that all students receive the attention they need to thrive academically and socially.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
- Foster behavior management strategies that encourage positive behavior and conflict resolution.
- Professional and development training opportunities(paid travel professional development courses)
- Oversee toddler care routines, ensuring safety and developmental milestones are met.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Support students with speech therapy needs, collaborating with specialists as required.
- Stay informed about childhood development trends to enhance teaching practices.
- Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and school administration regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area.
- CPR and first aid certification ( or willingness to obtain ).
- Experience in special education or deaf education is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Passion for childhood development and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented atmosphere while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs., Stand for extended periods, and actively engage with children at their level.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
