As Senior Director, Omni-Channel Engineering, you will set the strategic vision for our B2C commerce technology ecosystem and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities to power our seamless customer journey. Role
This role requires extensive thought leadership, roadmap ownership, and operational excellence to deliver a frictionless retail experience across all customer touchpoints. You will lead engineering teams, drive architectural innovation, and partner with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions in the follow core areas:
- Digital Commerce: Partner closely with Digital teams and drive eCommerce and Customer Service engineering using Salesforce Commerce and Service Clouds.
- Customer Engagement: Optimize our MarTech ecosystem leveraging solutions such as CDPs, Cheetah Digital, Talon One, and Attentive.
- Modern POS: Oversee the architecture, implementation and rollout of our next-generation Point of Sale to 250 stores with seamless cross-channel experience.
- Order Management: Ensure inventory availability accuracy, customer order flow, and fulfillment logic deliver highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Ownership: Define and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals. Partner with senior business stakeholders, product management, and technology leadership to ensure engineering efforts deliver measurable business impact.
- Architectural Vision: Champion API-first, headless composable architecture, orchestrate integrations.
- Platform Oversight: Lead teams responsible for digital commerce, customer engagement, modern POS, and order management systems.
- Front-End Frameworks: Extensive experience building high-performance websites amd headless digital commerce experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
- Operational Rigor: Drive SDLC and engineering performance focused on velocity, quality, and predictability. Build with resilence, observability, and SRE in mind.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the primary technical thought leader over your domain, translating complex technical constraints into actionable business solutions. Provide clear guidance on risks and trade-offs while aligning technology decisions with enterprise priorities.
- Agile Delivery & Operational Excellence: Drive engineering performance with a focus on speed, quality, and predictability. Streamline Agile workflows for distributed teams, enforce SLAs/SLOs for reliability, and modernize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, stable deployments across SFCC, POS, and loyalty platforms.
- Fiscal & Vendor Management: Accountable for CapEx/OpEx budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure ROI and compliance.
- Change Leadership: Lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Culture & Team Development: Build an inclusive (onshore/offshore), high-performing engineering culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity. Mentor and develop talent, ensuring succession planning and career growth.
Experience & Skills You'll Bring
- 12 years of progressive experience in retail technology with expertise in store operations, digital commerce, and loyalty ecosystems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven success leading large-scale digital transformations and unified commerce roadmaps for eCommerce, POS, OMS, and Customer Engagement
- Deep knowledge of API-first architecture, composable headless frameworks
- Strong technical foundation in Salesforce ecosystem, and modern POS capabilities
- Define and ensure adherence to CI/CD, DevOps, SDLC, Security and Compliance
- Strong understanding of consumer payment systems and PCI
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical engineering improvements with operation business objectives with cross-functional stakeholders
- Independent operator while responding to executive input to drive the tech strategy
- Strong people leader, fostering inclusive, high-performance teams and developing talent and cohesion between onshore and offshore teams
- Strong ethics and values aligned with organizational goals and culture
- Proven ability to manage budgets, optimize cloud costs, and forecast spending
- Strategic thinker, able to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building new capabilities from scratch
- Exceptional communication skills, bilingual in both Technical and Business speak
