What are the responsibilities and job description for the Arena Team Member position at World Equestrian Center - OH?
Primary Responsibilities:
Hay/Feed/Shavings
- Pick up orders from show office and make deliveries for exhibitors from lot to barn.
- Unload shaving deliveries off 53’ trailers from top beddings into lot.
- Use equipment to empty outside muck bins into 40-yard Containers.
- Assist with stall clean out by operating equipment to remove, dump, and place back tippable dumpsters.
Facility Cleaning
- Associates use hand tools to sweep and wash Interior and Exterior on the arena side of the property.
- Exterior windows that call for the use of a lift to reach.
- Clean up of parking lot as well as in-between buildings and grass areas.
- Sweeping, dusting, and washing of interior buildings. ( E.g. hallways, walls, wash racks, stall floors when not in use, sponsorship wall, vendor village roofs.)
- Cleaning of building gutters.
- Muck picking in arenas and hallways.
Maintenance
- Stall hardware
- Loose screws, and other fasteners
- Leaking hydrants
- Loose signs across the property
- Broken boards in stalls
Disinfecting
- Use of sprayer in the back of a golf cart to spray down stalls after cleaning.
- Hallways and wash racks periodically.
Equipment upkeep
- Washing and cleaning of Interior and exterior of equipment assigned to department.
- Grease twice a week.
- Blow out filters and radiators.
Deliveries coming to property
- Assist with unload and delivery of any incoming delivery’s for vendors, contractors, facility/show.
Set up and tear down
- Assist show crew with show set up and equipment moving for WEC & non WEC shows when needed
- Assist F&B with table set up or equipment moving.
- Assist with Holiday Décor.
Furniture
- Pick up furniture when bought from an off-property vendor
- Help with removal of old furniture from lodging units.
Trash
- Empty blue Trash cans into small trash trucks with dump bed. Truck bed gets dumped into compactor.
- Trash at offsite Air BNBs
Required Skills:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Candidate must have excellent customer service skills.
Required Experience:
- Experience on a farm or similar location is highly preferred.
