What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist position at World Bioproducts?
World Bioproducts is dedicated to protecting and enhancing public health—in the U.S. and abroad—by making revolutionary, high-quality products to ensure the safety of the world’s food supply. With decades of experience, we remain a leader in food safety by providing innovative microbiology sampling products and ideas to the global food industry.
This position has two distinct sets of responsibilities: (a) performing tasks under the Company’s Quality Program and (b) assisting in the Laboratory with QC and R&D as assigned. Day to day responsibilities include:
- Administers and coordinates the Training Program for the Production Department.
- Runs production Line Checks (verification of manufacturing parameters and labeling)
- Product Inspections, evaluations and re-training of personnel stemming from customer feedback or internal quality investigations.
- Works in the laboratory, including following established laboratory procedures for safe and effective handling of microorganisms while performing laboratory experiments and procedures.
- Assists with R&D and other special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma with 3 years experience in a production and/or quality environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to speak English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to move around and operate in clean room and laboratory settings in a busy production environment
