What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at World Bioproducts, LLC?
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for (indirectly or directly) completing all warehousing tasks necessary in the Libertyville facility. These tasks include, but are not limited to: processing outgoing customer orders, processing domestic and international shipments using appropriate documents, maintaining all materials in First-In-First-Out (FIFO) order, preparing work in process (WIP) for delivery to an off-site processing facility, performing cycle counts and other inventory control functions in coordination with the Materials Manager and the accounting group. This position requires an ability to effectively work independently, often without direct supervision while also working effectively with others. This role is also responsible for training Warehousing Associates and assuring that they perform at a high level. This job also requires good verbal and written communication skills to work with the sales group, trucking companies and selected vendors.
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Required: Arithmetic ability sufficient to perform the following three tasks: Counting: the act of enumerating or determining the number of items in a group. Measuring: the act or process of ascertaining the extent, dimensions, or quantity of something. Computing: the act or process of performing mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Required: Forklift certification
- Required: Basic computer skills including typing, internet navigation, e-mail usage, data entry
- Required: Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Desired: One or more years in a manufacturing, maintenance and/or warehouse environment.
- Desired: Familiarity with UPS WorldShip, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics NAV software.
- Required: Ability to left boxes and materials that may way 50 lbs or more.
