The Accounting Manager is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Leading the department in overseeing accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), month-end close, and reconciliations.
- Facilitating audit and tax preparation by serving as the primary liaison with external accounting firms.
- Managing cash processes and banking transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Overseeing payroll tax compliance and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Developing and documenting accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Utilizing accounting and reporting tools, such as QuickBooks Online and Power BI, to maintain key financial metrics and reports.
- Providing clear communication and strong leadership to team members, fostering transparency and timely decision-making.
- Partnering with company leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including maintaining and updating forecast models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; finance degree or significant experience considered.
- 5-10 years of experience, with a strong managerial background.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
- Experience with PowerBI or other business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
